The local area
Grove Park’s early development grew up around the area’s train station in the 19th century. The modern Grove Park is a popular place to live close to Central London, and has some pleasant green spaces as well as being home to part of the Green Chain Walk.
Grove Parks rail station puts on lots of regular services to Charing Cross and Cannon Street station, journeys which take 25 minutes and 20 minutes respectively. From both of these stations you can connect to the London Underground tube system, which can be used to reach other parts of the capital. The South Circular Road is just to the north of Grove Park, providing easy road access to London too.
For families with children, there are two primary schools in the catchment area for Grove Park. These are Coopers Lane and Marvels Lane School, the latter of which also has a children’s centre. The local secondary school is called Haberdashers’ Aske’s Knights Academy, formerly Malory School, and is in the Downham area of Lewisham.
