Bingley is thought to have been founded in Saxon times by a ford on the River Aire. It became a market town back in 1212, but it wasn’t until the completion of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the Industrial Revolution that Bingley really increased in size. The modern town has plenty of amenities, as well as some lovely green spaces such as Baildon Moor in the local area.

The town has its own railway station, which provides services to Bradford that take less than 20 minutes, and to Leeds which is only a few minutes more.
