Truro city has lots of attractions to keep Truronians busy, from its Gothic Revival cathedral to its shops, markets, cafes and bistros.
Truro’s train station is on the Cornish Main Line, which provides the city with direct services to London Paddington, as well as to the Midlands, North and Scotland. It’ll take at least four hours to get to London, but at least you won’t have to change trains. The A29 road passes through Truro connecting the city to parts of Cornwall further north and south, such as Falmouth, Redruth and St. Ives, while Newquay Airport is less than 20 miles away and offers flights to different parts of the UK as well as European destinations such as Alicante and Frankfurt.
There are plenty of schools in the local area for families with children to take into account, including Bosvigo School, St Mary’s CofE and Archbishop Benson CofE at primary level. For older pupils, Truro School, Truro High School, Penair School and Richard Lander School are among the options, with Truro College providing further and higher education facilities.
