If you need to get to London, it’s around an hour and 20 minute journey to the capital’s St Pancras station. The nearest motorway is the M20, which begins on the outskirts of Folkestone around 16 miles away from Deal, while the French coast is only 25 miles away across the English Channel, and can be seen on a clear day.

There are some good schools in the area to send your children to, with primary options including Deal Parochial CofE, The Downs CofE, Sholden CofE and Sandown School. Castle Community College on Mill Road, Walmer Science College and the Brewood Education Centre provide secondary education facilities.
