Burnham is a village in southern England, just to the north of the River Thames and between the towns of Slough and Maidenhead. Found in the South Bucks district of Buckinghamshire, it has a population of around 12,000 and a strong property market.

Burnham has a rich history, and in the latter part of the 13th century was granted a royal charter for a market and annual fair. This market was later transferred to Maidenhead, while Burnham also has strong links with neighbouring Slough. The M4 motorway isn’t far from Burnham, which heads east into the capital, while there are trains to London Paddington station which take just half an hour. There’s a good choice of schools in Burnham itself and a short distance away in Slough, including St. Peter’s CofE, Priory School and Lynch Hill at primary level. If you’re looking for a secondary school, the options include Burnham Grammar on Hogfair Lane, and Beechwood School and Baylis Court School in Slough.
