The local area

There’s lots of history in the local area, with Bromborough the site of an important battle in the tenth century which confirmed England as an Anglo-Saxon kingdom. It was granted a market charter towards the end of the 13th century, and experienced lots of redevelopment in the 1930s. Sitting on the Wirral Peninsula, it has a great location in the North West.

Liverpool is just across the River Mersey from Bromborough, and it takes less than 20 minutes to get to the city by car. Other local towns, such as Bebington, Birkenhead and Wallasey are fairly easy to drive to. Bromborough has three train stations, with services to Liverpool taking less than half an hour from each. The M53 motorway passes to the west of Bromborough, connecting it with the M56 which heads east to Manchester. Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Manchester Airport are conveniently located close to town for when you go on holiday.

There are plenty of good schools in Bromborough and across the Wirral for families with children to consider, including Bromborough Pool Primary and Christ the King Catholic Primary. South Wirral High School and St. John Plessington Catholic College in Bebington are among the secondary options.
